Harp makes you forget your problems
ANYA has chosen harp to express her artistic visions. Although this ancient instrument is associated with classical music played by orchestra, Anya shows us its modern image playing music which she defines as "an atmospheric pop." "Her music is atmospheric, inspirational and one minute later it turns into impetuous and full of fire, which is very difficult to achieve in music played on the instrument seeming "very subtle" (Express Wieczorny daily)
"We were surprised to hear Anya's unconventional style when she first
conjured impetuous tango on her blue harp making the audience dance and
just then sang a love- ballad written by her. At the end with her own
band she played rhythmical Balcan themes on the little Celtic harp hung
on a special harness. Dancing and playing the harp simultaneously? For
the very first time! Singing, improvising, expression, loose, great
entertainment! We sang a song "Heaven on Earth" together with Anya,
Heaven because of the harp, Earth due to energy, fun, and reality. She
looks like a nymph but she plays like an Earthly, energy angel!"
Anya has been playing the harp since childhood. Her mother - opera singer sent Anya to the school of music where she participated in harp, piano, vocal, percussion and rhythmicity classes. Later on as a harp player she used all her skills taking the leading position among the European music stars. Artistic energy and expressionism of Anya and her innovative way of playing (including singing as an additional element) made the harp played by her a new notion no longer perceived as orchestral or background instrument connected only with classical music. Anya's concerts have turned into "Harp's show" and received a name "Harp with fire".
When conducting her show Anya hangs a black-gold Celtic harp on a special harness which enables her to be closer to the audience and talk right from the stage. (look at video) Electrically supported harp brings a noble sound, Anya's music is modern noble POP with excellent rhythm. This style is totally innovative for the European audience when they hear modern music and see "an angel", a beautiful woman creating astonishing sounds from the Celtic harp she moves or even dances with. Anya
is called "ANYA-HARP STAR", no angel - a real woman. The second version of Anya's concerts with more jazz features is played on the CAMAC blue electric harp with blue clothes and hair - it is called "The BLUE HARP" style. (look at video) She has given concerts in such places as: Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munchen, Prague, Bratyslava , Vien, Frankfurt., Gothenborg, Warsaw and all Poland. Anya had a concert tour in Scandinavia together with Polish jazz star Michał Urbaniak (look at video).
She
also performed in Głogów edition of the festival together
witch such stars as Tomasz Stanko, or Billy Cobham.

"I opened my mind to free, unlimited stage energy. Yoga and numerous other techniques supported me in a remarkable way. I started to compose (listen to Anya's "Like Angels") and sing (listen to "Sunny Sky").
Since I started using a little Celtic harp I have been able to move on the stage freely, talk to audience and dance (look at video). I started with classical music that I owe a lot: technique and music understanding, thousands of great recitals and concerts with orchestra I played in Europe. When I stood up and left the classical harp and took a deep breath I left the bars of notes I understood that I could do much more: to improvise, sing and move on the stage. It is my own expression: movement, energy, singing and dancing. I love observing the audience from the stage and talking to them. Carrying the little harp when playing (it weighs 12 kg) I experience my strength once more. I am a very strong woman however some people say I look like an angel. From time to time I do become an angel - after all I play the harp! (look at video)
